New Ice and Snow Inspired Baby-G Offers a Warm Glow Popular Brand Gets Romantic and Wintry Addition

September 26, 2005, Tokyo, Japan -- CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. announced the release of the latest additions to the Baby-G line with the BG-62 and BG-71 models. These new offerings—six models in all—are based on the concept of “a bright glow through ice and snow,” a slight variation on the standard tough and cute Baby-G image. While evocative of winter, these watches keep you looking cool yet feeling warm all year around, and are appropriate for a day of fun with friends or a romantic night out with that special someone. The Baby-G was first created as the women’s version of Casio’s popular G-SHOCK series of watches. With shock-resistant construction and water-resistance, the reliability of the Baby-G series became the watch of choice for the world’s top female surfers and body boarders. The Baby-G brand then found a huge following among fun-loving girls in their teens and twenties. The new ice and snow themed Baby-G softens the bright sunlight of the Baby-G image and transforms it into the romantic and warm glow of northern climes. These latest additions to the Baby-G family have a color scheme reminiscent of a soft winter landscape. The BG-62 comes in light blue, pink, and white versions—the white BG-62 watch face has a mother-of-pearl pattern that, like a gently glowing aurora, changes colors depending on the angle it is viewed from. The BG-62 models have three LCD dials that display day, date, and time. The BG-71 models feature an LCD mode indicator and unique watch face displays. All models feature a full-face color LCD with two watch hands and pearl finish semi-transparent resin bands in addition to the all the functions Baby-G fans have come to expect from their favorite watch, including World Time, a full auto calendar, and LED light with afterglow.
